Era Vulgaris

Zoals reeds eerder vermeld op Rockascene komt de band Queens of the Stone Age binnenkort met een nieuw album getiteld "Era Vulgaris". Wat betekent nu Era Vulgaris? Zoveel QOTSA-fans die dat graag willen dat de ierse band Era Vulgaris overladen wordt met deze vraag van diezelfde fans. De band schreef daarop het volgende:

"In brief, Era Vulgaris is Latin for the Common Age - if you don't subscribe to the church, catholic, presbyterian, mormon, seventh day cap wearing no dancing beard growing adventists - whatever, you use "ev" after the year in place of "AD" because these are not the years of our lord. We have no lord, we have ourselves, the common age..."

De band Era Vulgaris is trouwens ook de moeite waard om te beluisteren. Het britse blad Rock Sound noemde deze band in hun Hot 100 voor 2007. De Ieren spelen prog-metal.
