Seether waarschuwt voor mogelijk virus

Afgelopen weekend is de server van de Seether website aangevallen door hackers. Dit heeft de band laten weten via een email vandaag. De band waarschuwt dan ook mensen die dit weekend de website bezocht hebben in de volgende statement:

"We wanted to make you aware that the server that Seether website is hosted on was attacked late last week. Immediately upon receiving notification that website visitors were experiencing antivirus alerts upon visiting our site, we shut down access to the site and began removal of the infected files. As a secondary part of the attack, some database entries were overwritten with the URL of a malicious website. We have removed the URL from the database, but whatever text was overwritten by the URL is lost. We do not believe that any private information was compromised. As a precaution, we suggest that anyone that visited this site on April 3rd or April 4th should use an antivirus program to check their computer." Bron: Seether Nieuwsbrief
