Finse metal awards winnaars bekend

De Finnen hebben weer hun metal awards uitgedeeld op de jaarlijkse Metal Meeting in Helsinki. Bands als Sonata Arctica, Apocalyptica, Amorphis en Satyricon hebben optredens verzorgd. De awards worden verdeeld aan de hand van stemmen van het publiek. De uiteindelijke winnaars:

Band of the year: Insomnium
Record of the year: Insomnium - Across The Dark
Vocalist of the year: Tomi Joutsen (Amorphis)
Musician of the year: Alexi Laiho (Children Of Bodom)
Cover art of the year: Amorphis - Skyforger (Travis Smith)
Newcomer of the year: FM2000
Demo band of the year: Ghoul Patrol
