Guns N' Roses live, the soap continues...
Beginning the set with ‘Welcome To The Jungle’, they stopped shortly into the track after bottles bombarded the stage.
Addressing the angry crowd, Axl Rose said:
“Alright, here’s the deal: one more bottle, we go home. It’s up to you.
“We would like to stay. Do you want us to stay? We want to stay, we want to have some fun. If you don’t want to have fun all you’ve got to do is let us know – we’ve got no problem – and we’ll go on our way.”
But after three more tracks, the band left the stage, after which a member of staff was forced to take to the microphone to calm jeering fans stressing that they were trying to get Rose to return, and pleading:
“I would ask you to refrain from throwing items at him.”
The band also appeared on stage an hour late last weekend at the Reading and Leeds Festivals.
