Linkin Park sterk beïnvloed door Public Enemy op nieuw album

Linkin Park heeft aan NME.com laten weten dat Public Enemy een grote invloed heeft gehad op het nieuwe album "A thousand suns". Er wordt zelfs in het nummer "Wretches and kings" gerefereerd aan rapper Chuck D van Public Enemy.

Linkin Park rapper Mike Shinoda: "Public Enemy were very three-dimensional with their records because although they seemed political, there was a whole lot of other stuff going on in there too. It made me think how three-dimensional I wanted our record to be without imitating them of course, and show where we were at creatively."
